“Art of Abandonment” Personal Project

This personal project is highlighting abandoned buildings frozen in time. Its purpose is to show the odd sense of beauty in these spaces, and that even in forgotten locations, one can find a sense of beauty. I believe that when people experience these images, they interpret them in their own way and that’s what makes them special. This is a side of architecture that most don’t see, and while some only see a run down building, others see naturing taking over what humans leave behind. They may wonder who inhabited these buildings, or what happened to make them end up in this current state. No matter what the interpretations are, it’s no doubt that these images make people stop and think, and that’s the objective behind “Art of Abandonment”.

Art of Abandonment was featured at The Delaware Contemporary in 2017 at The 302 pop-up exhibit.
